Artist Statement
I work with 35mm film to preserve the fleeting, ordinary moments that shape our sense of home — a streetcar slipping by, laundry strung above an alley, or the soft glow of a harbour at dusk.
Having lived in India, the Middle East, and now Canada, I’ve come to see that neighbourhoods across the world share subtle echoes of one another. Through my camera, I collect these echoes like postcards from different cities — quiet stories stitched together through light, shadow, and memory.
My photographs are less about iconic landmarks and more about the textures of daily life that connect us across cultures. They invite reflection, nostalgia, and a sense of belonging, reminding us that the beauty of place often lives in its smallest details.
For this submission, I present a short suite of images that speak to finding the beauty in the ordinary.
