Artist Statement

I work with 35mm film to capture the carefree rhythm of friendship — moments where we are intoxicated with love, wine, and sunlight. My camera is a quiet witness to our laughter spilling through alleyways, coffeeshops, and canals, where the essence of a place lives not in its landmarks, but in how we inhabit it.

From picnics in Montreal to wandering through European cities, these photographs are both documentation and devotion — postcards of shared summers, of knowing exactly where to find the best spot by the canal, or which corner café makes the best tiramisu in Rome.

I’m drawn to scenes that feel unguarded: friends mid-conversation, the blur of an inside joke, the golden hour before everything dissolves into night. The film grain holds traces of our laughter, the scent of espresso, and the soft intoxication of being young and deeply alive with my favorite people.

For this submission, I present a body of work arranged in pairs, exploring how love, friendship, and memory intertwine across cities. Together, these images form a visual diary of connection — a celebration of belonging, wherever we wander.

This work is a love letter to my friends — the ones who make every city feel like home.
