Our perfect Thailand moment — turquoise water, sunshine, and laughter.
Ever dreamed of a trip where every day feels like a postcard? That was our Thailand 2023 friends trip — laughter, late-night markets, elephant cuddles, and endless beach days. Between Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and the islands, it was a week of colors, flavors, and unforgettable memories.
Day 1–2: Bangkok Buzz 🌇
Bangkok was chaotic in the best way possible. We stayed in a boutique hotel near Sukhumvit, surrounded by neon lights and street food stalls. Our first night ended on a rooftop bar overlooking the skyline — mango cocktails in hand, city glowing beneath us.
The next morning, we explored Wat Arun and the Grand Palace, feeling like royalty amid the golden spires. I’ll never forget the moment we all put on borrowed sarongs at the temple gate — laughter echoing as we tied them in the wrong places!
Day 3–4: Chiang Mai & Elephant Love 🐘

Meeting gentle giants in Chiang Mai.
Chiang Mai was pure magic. The slower pace, the jungle air, the warm smiles — it was everything we needed. We spent a full day at an ethical elephant sanctuary, feeding bananas, splashing in the river, and learning their rescue stories. It was emotional and heartwarming all at once.
That evening, we wandered through the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, arms full of handmade jewelry and spicy noodles from a street cart.
Day 5: Phi Phi Islands Paradise 🏝️

Phi Phi Islands — where the sea looks unreal.
Flying down south, we based ourselves in Phuket and joined a boat tour to the Phi Phi Islands. The color of the water? Unreal. Snorkeling with schools of tropical fish, we couldn’t stop shouting “look at this!” through our snorkels.
On Maya Bay, we took about a hundred photos trying to get that “movie moment” — and ended up just laughing in the sand.
Day 6: Thai Cooking Class & Beach Day 🍜☀️

Cooking pad thai and mango sticky rice with our chef!
One of my favorite memories was our Thai cooking class — we learned to make pad thai and mango sticky rice, and yes, mine was questionably spicy. Our instructor kept calling us her “spicy ladies” and sent us home with aprons as souvenirs.
After class, we spent the afternoon lounging at Kata Beach, coconut drinks in hand, watching the sun melt into the ocean.
Day 7: Farewell Thailand 🌅

One last sunset before goodbye.
On our last night, we gathered at a beachfront restaurant in Phuket for one final toast. The waves crashed behind us as we clinked glasses and promised — “same time, new country next year.”
That’s the beauty of Thailand — it’s not just a destination, it’s a feeling you carry with you long after the trip ends.
✨ Trip Tips from Us
- Pack light: You’ll want space for market finds.
- Book experiences early: Especially island tours and cooking classes.
- Dress modestly for temples — carry a scarf or light cover-up.
- Try everything — from mango sticky rice to night tuk-tuks.
